Pigmentation Treatment – Cosmelan

COSMELAN / DERMAMELAN PEEL

Cosmelan is a professional depigmentation treatment and is known as the gold standard treatment of Melasma (hormonal pigmentation).

Cosmelan and Dermamelan contain the same active ingredients to treat hyper-pigmentation, however, dermamelan is slightly stronger than cosmelan.

The treatment consists of two phases:

  1. Phase 1 takes place in the practice. It involves a detailed skin analysis and diagnosis. The Cosmelan mask is applied to the skin after which the patient is sent home with instructions to remove the mask after 8 – 12 hours.
  2. Phase 2 involves homecare over the following 3 months. In some cases longer this phase carries on for much longer.

Treatment targets:

  • Pigmentation (melasma / chloasma)
  • Photodamage (sun spots)
  • Textural irregularities
  • Acne
