What is Lumecca?
Lumecca is a powerful Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) treatment designed to improve the appearance of pigmentation, sun damage, redness and superficial vascular lesions, leaving the skin looking clearer, brighter and more even.
Lumecca delivers high-intensity light energy at a 580 nm wavelength, which targets specific chromophores within the skin. The energy is absorbed by pigment and blood vessels, helping to break down unwanted pigmentation and reduce the appearance of superficial vascular concerns.
Lumecca is an excellent treatment for patients wanting to address visible signs of sun damage and pigmentation while improving overall skin clarity and tone.
All our Lumecca treatments are performed by our Skin Therapists under the direct supervision of Dr. Michelle Hutton.
A Visia Skin Analysis and consultation will determine whether Lumecca is suitable for you and which treatment protocol will provide the best results.
HOW DOES LUMECCA WORK?
At Hutton Medical, our Lumecca treatments use a 580 nm wavelength. This wavelength is absorbed by chromophores within the skin, particularly melanin and haemoglobin, allowing us to target unwanted pigmentation and superficial vascular concerns.
The light energy is converted into heat within the targeted structures, helping to break down unwanted pigment and reduce the appearance of superficial blood vessels while leaving the surrounding skin relatively unaffected.
