Microneedling, otherwise known as Collagen Induction Therapy, is a medical aesthetic procedure designed to stimulate one’s fibroblasts which are the cells responsible for producing collagen.
At the Centre we utilize the 16-needle cartridge Dermapen 4 Medical Device. This device, only used in Doctor’s practices, generates 1,920 puncture channels per second, 48% more punctures than a Dermapen 3. The needles are run against the skin causing a controlled injury, in turn stimulating our fibroblast cells to produce more collagen.
We combine all our Dermapen 4 Treatments with medical grade serums according to skin type and concern, therefore enhancing all treatments with a skinbooster.
From the age of 20 we lose collagen at a rate of 1-1.5% each year, resulting in thinner, less elastic skin. A good aim is to incorporate 4 Dermapen 4 sessions a year into your skin plan to keep collagen production induced.
