Natasha Pells-Gibson is a qualified Physiotherapist with a special interest in women’s health.
She is registered with the Health Professionals council of South Africa and the South African society of Physiotherapy .
She graduated from the University of Cape Town in 2008 and after her community service year, moved back to her hometown of Plettenberg Bay to pursue her passion for physiotherapy.
She completed her postgraduate OMT qualification in 2010 and continues to do courses to further her knowledge and skills in this very diverse profession.
Her passion for women’s health has grown since having children of her own and understanding what the female body is all about. She is currently busy with her post graduate women’s health qualification and has already completed the sections in the hypotonic and hypertonic pelvic floor. These allowing her to address problems associated with the pelvis such as pelvic pain, incontinence, prolapse, constipation, sexual dysfunction etc.
Also falling under the umbrella of women’s health is ante and post natal care. From management of pelvic and back pain, to exercise advice, breastfeeding advice and treatment of cracked nipples and engorged breasts, Natasha wishes to provide moms-to-be and new moms a complete package of care and advice to make their journey easier….. a journey she knows very well herself.
Natasha will also be attending a lymphedema course in October 2018. This adding another tool, along with scar management and shoulder mobility to Physiotherapy management post mastectomy.
Along with her colleague, Luzelle Myburgh, Natasha owns Pells/Myburgh Physiotherapy, a general Physiotherapy practice next to Plett Mediclinic.
She will however be seeing all Women’s health clients at Hutton Medical Wellness Centre, an optimal environment for our women allowing holistic supportive and professional care.
